We recently reported on the sad state of the queue for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where guests have destroyed the wall decals. Now, Disney has begun to repair the unsightly damage by painting over the spots where the decal has been picked away.
The damage has gotten worse since our last report.
However, you can see areas, such as under the butterfly in the purple section, where Disney has attempted to camouflage the damage with paint. The colors don’t quite match.
More of the splotchy repairs can be seen here.
The repair attempts are even more obvious in the white section, as seen above and below.
Rather than fix the gold building here, Disney has opted to paint over the damaged area with purple to blend into the background.
Hopefully, this is a work in progress and not the final product.

Stupid people and more stupid fix
Now that doesn’t look cheap & tacky at all!
This hardly seems article worthy. Don’t people use motorized scooters and push strollers in this queue? Maybe it’s more that than anything malicious and perhaps instead of throwing dollars at something that will just be marred again in short order they just use a low dollar short term solution instead. *shrug*
Motorized scooters don’t reach 6 feet high. This was also a follow-up to the most read story of the week previous, so people definitely care and it is certainly warranted.
