In honor of Walt Disney World’s upcoming 50th anniversary, much of the Magic Kindom is getting a refresh. Pavement is being returned to its original jungle green in Adventureland, the Main Street Train Station is getting a massive overhaul, and work abounds in Fantasyland with repainting and retouching to bring that like-new shine to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Among these refurbishment projects is the new color scheme for “it’s a small world,” which is being transformed from white-and-gold to a brightly colored tapestry.

A couple of new sections have been repainted since our last check in. This panel down near the load platform is among them. This is a panel that guests sail past as they begin their cruise around the world.

Across the platform, these panels have recently been painted in blue as well. This is near where guests return from their ride and the boats exit the show scenes and return to the load platform.

The whole facade still has a ways to go before it is finished, but some definite progress is being made. It is almost entirely covered over in color.
