Good morning everyone and welcome to a magical day at Walt Disney World. Join us today as we venture through Magic Kingdom and discover all of the surprises that this wonderful park has in store for us, and we can guarantee there were definitely a few big surprises. So, let’s jump in!
We were “walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.,” this morning when we discovered that the Golden Fab 50 character statues had officially been unveiled! You can find these brand new statues showcasing some of the most iconic Disney characters lining Main Street U.S.A. and The Hub. These are being installed all throughout Walt Disney World in celebration of The 50th Anniversary, but if you’d like to get a better look at the ones revealed so far, check out our YouTube video here!
The absolutely adorable Chip & Dale seem to be excited to be celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
Pluto even looks like he’s having a grand time!
Seems like some other Disney dogs are getting in on the action!
We found these newly repainted lampposts dazzling Main Street, U.S.A. this morning as well! Not all of the posts have been completed yet, but we can’t wait to see the golden colors take over the street once they are!
You may not be able to satisfy your sweet tooth at the currently closed Main Street Confectionery just yet, but we may be just a step closer, as we’ve seen walls officially come down around the beloved shop! Our mouths are watering just thinking about it!
“The rain, rain, rain came down, down, down” in the hub today.
We found that Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid has been struck with some new Lightning Lane signage. This new design replaces the previous Fastpass+ signage from the attraction. Fastpass+ signage has also been removed from Ariel’s Grotto, but we have yet to see Lighting Lane pop up in that location yet.
“There may be something there that wasn’t there before” over at Be Our Guest Restaurant, and that thing is a newly refurbished exterior area! We recently saw all of the scaffolding that previously surrounded the area come down, and the facade looks beautiful!
We caught Anastasia & Drizella having a wickedly fun time in Fantasyland.
It seems that it’s a small world got a few more splashes of color today! Take a look at all of the vibrant shades throughout the attraction loading area.
We beamed down into Star Traders where we found this new Nike Athletic Mickey Mouse Baseball Cap! This hat sports the mouse who started it all atop of a bright blue background, and bears a Nike logo on the back. You can currently pick up this sporty look for $34.99.
We noticed that some scaffolding had been removed from the exterior of Splash Mountain today, although other pieces still remain in certain areas.
We stopped by to wish our new pals farewell as we headed out of the park.
We boarded the Monorail and sped over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. We stepped into the elevator to find that the inside had been completely remodeled! This new style transforms the elevator into a sleek design showing the resort’s exterior with a matte silver monorail sliding through. Although not all elevators have received this treatment yet, we’d recommend taking a ride on it next time you’re there.
Construction continues all throughout the interior and exterior of the resort. Take a look at the current progress on the water play area.
We also took a ride over to the newly reopened Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Monorail Station. Here we got a good look at the progress on the new entrance, which seems to be in the final stages of completion.
That just about brings us to the end of our day. Thank you for joining us as we traversed through Walt Disney World!
