Yesterday, Space 220 Restaurant finally opened at EPCOT. The brand-new restaurant takes guests 220 miles above the Earth for a stellar meal. The experience includes a ride in the “Stellarvator,” which launches guests up to the Centauri Space Station.

Of course, the elevator doesn’t really go to space, but it does offer some great views of Earth through the screen at the bottom.

As guests ascend, they will immediately recognize EPCOT, with clouds drifting between the elevator and the park. We noticed that the clouds — particularly the small one in the center — cover the major construction areas of the park. Though Creations Shop and Club Cool are now open, the adjacent restaurant and Journey of Water are not completed. These areas wouldn’t make for a pretty view during the elevator ride, though we do wonder if clouds will be removed from the image once construction is completed.
