While the permanent MouseGear location was closed and later gutted beginning in early 2020, the MouseGear store has lived on in the form of a temporary location nearby. However, now that Creations Shop has opened, the temporary location has been shuttered and the MouseGear name stripped from the building.

The marquee sign, which was mounted above the main entrance to the shop, has now been removed, eliminating the MouseGear name from the building (and from EPCOT as a whole).

A silhouette of the sign is still clearly visible on the façade.

Similarly, the sign above the east entrance has been removed, with clear traces of where it used to be mounted.

Near the main entrance, window decals with Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and gears (symbolic of MouseGear) still remain but will likely be removed in the coming days.

The closure of the original MouseGear location, pictured above, was the death of the store to many. Today, however, marks the end of the MouseGear story, 22 years after it began.
