PHOTO REPORT: EPCOT 10/19/21 (Genie+ & Lightning Lane Arrive, Animatronics Return To Spaceship Earth, Monsters Inc. Limited Pins, Alice In Wonderland Collection & More)

Howdy, World Travelers! Today, we navigate our way around EPCOT using the new Genie+ with Lightning Lane tool, so let’s get started, KACHOW!

At 7am, after buying the new Genie+ tool, we purchased our individual Lightning Lane selection for the day, Frozen Ever After.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is available for purchase as well as virtual queue, giving you the ability to ride the attraction more than once in a single day.

Checking in on your day in Genie, you will receive recommendations based on your preferences you selected upon first getting the planning tool, and forecasted wait times throughout the day.

Genie pamphlets are available for guests at the Guest Relations building to the left of Spaceship Earth when entering the park.

Our first Lightning Lane selection was Test Track which had a zero minute wait, aside from walking time and attraction pre-show, from entrance to the ride vehicles. Much of our day had no wait times AT ALL courtesy of Genie+, granted this experience will be different at each park.

A new set of Magic Kingdom inspired Patched patches are available at Creations.

A new group of Walt Disney World logo tie-dye shirts and tank are available.

Another keychain to add to your collection features Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and the castle.

More white Apple Watch bands, these featuring Baby Yoda and UP, are available near the registers.

Three new limited edition and limited release Monsters Inc. pins scared their way into Pin Traders.

A large crane could be seen working on the barges for Harmonious quite a few days after the nighttime spectacular’s debut.

Our first individual Lightning Lane purchase of the day boasted a zero wait time from entering the line to the 2nd tapstiles inside, where we waited another minute before entering our boat. At the time we entered the queue the wait time was posted at 70 minutes.

The Remy’s Rataouille Adventure PhotoPass is now at the entrance to the France expansion instead of inside at the attraction’s fountain. The Lightning Lane entrance for the ride is where the photo spot previously was which probably prompted the move.

We only did virtual queue today for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and waited 45 minutes from entrance to the Remy mobiles.

The Photo Spot in the UK pavilion received a new photo underneath its sign.

Alice in Wonderland apparel arrived inside of The Tea Caddy.

There were many 50th anniversary Mickey popcorn buckets available at the Creations popcorn kiosk when we passed.

The Roman and Caveman have returned to Spaceship Earth after a brief hiatus.

On our way out, we stopped at The Seas pavilion to say hi to this sea urchin who decided to keep all of the Mickey ear hats printed for the sea creatures for himself.

We then summoned Genie to park hop over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to try some of the Lightning Lane attractions there. Na’avi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage both listed wait times of over 50 minutes and we were able to walk on to both attractions with zero wait.

Over at Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasure in DinoLand, our big Dino was given the bottle cap ’50’ to hold that previously was at the shop’s entrance table.

Primeval Whirl sees more action down below as it appears that crews are cleaning up some of the wreckage created from the towering track.

Thanks for following along today! Be sure to check all of our Genie and Lightning Lane articles for more information on the new planning tool.

Tip boards in all the parks now have ‘LL’ next to their attraction that has Lightning Lane capabilities.

While Expedition Everest is an individual paid Lightning Lane selection, the wait time for the attraction hovered under 20 minutes for most of the day, so you may be better off just waiting for this one.
