Just weeks after the expansion to EPCOT’s France Pavilion opened to the public, one of its features has already gone missing.

Chef Skinner’s red scooter has been removed, leaving only Collette’s scooter available for photo opportunities. Disney confirmed that the scooter belonged to Ratatouille‘s antagonist in a post discussing the details that could be found in the expansion.

As of the writing of this article, we don’t know why it was removed, or whether or not it will eventually return. We assume it is just being repaired.

Right now, all that’s left is a rusty patch that held the scooter in place. Below, you can see what it looked like when it was on display:

For now, we’ll be keeping an eye out to see if the scooter gets returned. (It’s bad enough the rats need to steal food; now they’re after motor vehicles!)

  1. i can only imagine what woke moron was offended. one thing you can count on at the new disney. while some merchandise sells out quickly, there is always plenty of rainbow merchandise everywhere.

  2. I’m not an engineer, but it looks like those anchor bolts weren’t strong enough to hold the scooter in place reliably. They look OK for display purposes. Something sturdier is needed to withstand the forces of people climbing on and off, posing and such. It’ll be back with better anchoring.
