PHOTOS: ‘Sleigh Ride Sadie’ Sign With Spear Returns at Jingle Cruise in Magic Kingdom

The annual holiday “Jingle Cruise” overlay of Jungle Cruise opened at Magic Kingdom a few days ago. Given the new scenes added amidst the cultural sensitivity updates to the attraction, the overlay was different, too. However, some decorations remained the same, including a sign with a spear on the Sankuru Sadie boat that turned it into “Sleigh Ride Sadie.” Yesterday, the sign was gone, presumably due to cultural sensitivity worries, but today the sign is back.

The sign features a spear with reeds and bells hanging from it.

  1. So “cultural sensitivity concerns” was based on absolutely nothing? More A+ reporting from WDWNT!

  2. i had no idea santa’s sleigh was equipped with a spear. i thought it was about spreading love and joy to everyone, not displaying symbols of death. so yes, this offends me disney. so now, treat me the same way as you do those precious woke morons you constantly are trying to pacify. all sarcasm intended!

  3. I think the reason why the spear was removed was simply to do a few changes, making sure it was properly secure. Nothing beyond that. I bet it had nothing to do with any sensitive nonsense.
