Two new limited edition pins celebrating the 20th anniversary of Journey Into Imagination With Figment are now available at EPCOT. The anniversary is celebrating the current edition of the attraction, not the other iterations. A few years ago, Journey Into Imagination With Figment crossed the milestone of outliving the original ride.
We found the pins in Pin Traders and ImageWorks at the Imagination! Pavilion. They are both limited editions of 3,000. The one on the left with a grey backing card is an Annual Passholder exclusive.

The silver backing card is shaped like the Imagination Institute logo.
The pin features Figment and the classic pyramids of the Imagination! Pavilion.
A circular yellow piece spins to reveal images representing each lab of the attraction.
The spinner also reads “Journey Into Imagination With Figment 20th Anniversary.”

This pin comes on a yellow backing card shaped like the Imagination Institute logo.
Figment peeks over the top of the pavilion pyramids, with purple clouds behind him.
Music notes, stars, flowers, and lightbulbs are in the purple clouds. “20th Anniversary” and “Journey Into Imagination With Figment” is along the bottom.
The original Journey Into Imagination opened in March 1983. A new version, Journey into YOUR Imagination, opened in 1999. It only lasted until 2001. The current version, Journey into Imagination With Figment, opened in 2002.

I want to buy a pin but will not do it. The new Figment ride is horrible. I sure wish they would bring back Dream finder and The original Figment..
Don’t worry. They will sell out within a day or two to resellers.
The current ride was significantly better than the two year redo, which literally insulted riders during the beginning of it. The original was a million times better and even my daughter who’s only seen YouTube ride throughs agrees, but to change it back, or to do anything, means to destroy other people’s childhood (the only version of the ride they know) which, if we remember the tantrum they threw when they finally removed the 100 Years Sorcerer Hat pin store, it may be an issue. The other problem is the fact that they would need to close down the rude for a lengthy amount of time, which they clearly can’t do until after the rest of EPCOT is finished, and they already have massive budget cuts on that project.
