New Walt Disney World Railroad Narration Still Mentions Splash Mountain, Doesn’t Reference Upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

The new narration on the Walt Disney World Railroad, which finally reopened today at Magic Kingdom, still references Splash Mountain and doesn’t allude to the attraction’s impending closure.

Before arriving at Frontierland Station, the narrator talks about the land, saying, “Yonder is Big Thunder Mountain and its runaway mine trains, while just ahead is Splash Mountain, where you’ll find Br’er Rabbit in his laughin’ place. Oh, be sure to say, ‘Hi.’ Those critters love when folks drop in.” The train then pulls through the ride, giving a glimpse of the ferry boat covered in animal animatronics. “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” can be heard from the attraction.

Splash Mountain will permanently close next month to be replaced with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and most other references to “Song of the South” have been removed from Disney Parks in recent years.

There is a pause between “mine trains” and “while,” so it’s possible the section referencing Splash Mountain will be easily removed and audio about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be added later.

Hear the Splash Mountain line at the 4:25 timestamp in our POV video below.

The Walt Disney World Railroad will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
