Annual Passholders at Walt Disney World can rejoice, as they’ve just been given a heap of bonus reservations. In fact, it seems every day is a bonus reservation day this month.
Bonus Park Pass Reservations in June
A quick look at the reservation calendar reveals that every available day in June is marked with a star, meaning Bonus Reservations are available. For those unaware, Bonus Reservations are additional reservations sometimes given out by Walt Disney World which don’t count toward the standard allotment of reservations available. The amount of reservations available to a passholder varies from three to five depending on the tier purchased.
As attendance remains low around the parks even heading into the typically-busy summer season, these bonus reservations appear to encourage passholders to visit the parks. The last time we saw these bonus Park Passes on offer was in December 2022.

V.I.Passholder Days
Walt Disney World is rolling out a slew of benefits for Annual Passholders this summer in a campaign they’ve titled V.I.Passholder Days.
A new lounge is now open this month exclusively for Annual Passholders within Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT. “Cool off and take a break at this reserved space just for Passholders,” Disney states.

- Times: Park open to Park close
The following special treats will also be available at Sunshine Seasons next month:
- A Spark of Grape Shake
Grape, guava, passionfruit, orange and lime - Raspberry “Lemonade” Tart
Shortbread tart filled with lemon mousse, raspberry jam and raspberry mousse
The new Figment Annual Passholder magnet will also be available for pick up at EPCOT beginning on May 31.
Annual Passholders will also receive a 10% increase in discounts for select dining and merchandise purchases. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, they can experience a WALL-E and EVE Magic Shot. Disney teased a second limited-time photo op during the V.I.PASSHOLDER announcement.
V.I.PASSHOLDER Nights was a free after hours event previously held at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

Walt Disney World Annual Pass Program
Walt Disney World Annual Passes were sold continuously from September 1982 until March 2020. Since then, the price had increased dramatically, multiple tiers were introduced with various blackout dates and benefits to match. At times, the resort even encouraged guests to become Passholders through advertising at the parks, around Central Florida, and through benefits like discounts on merchandise and food.
Of course, at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, that all changed. While Walt Disney World did not go the route of Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Resort by canceling every Annual Pass and issuing refunds, nor did they resume sales immediately as the Paris, Hong Kong, and Shanghai resorts did upon reopening. Passes remained valid and renewable after the COVID-19 closure concluded in July 2020, although new sales were halted almost immediately upon reopening. At the time, Disney assured guests it was a “temporary” measure due to capacity restrictions at Walt Disney World.
In August 2021, Walt Disney World announced an overhaul of their pass system, replacing the four tiers introduced in 2015 with a more confusing character-based system. New passes then went on sale in September 2021, and remained on sale for nearly three months before being suspended in late November. The two middle tiers were briefly on sale last June for a single day before halting again. All four Walt Disney World Annual Passes went on sale again this year and remain available.
Beginning in April 2023, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can visit the theme parks after 2:00 p.m. on most days without a park pass reservation. This perk does not include Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, when a reservation will still be required.
It was recently announced that beginning next year, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders would no longer need park pass reservations for select “good-to-go” dates.
