After multiple years of construction at EPCOT, the finishing touches to the exterior areas in the new World Celebration neighborhood are being installed at EPCOT.

When compared to the updated concept art below that was released in March, you can see that the current progress is rapidly approaching this concept art, down to individual trees in place surrounding Dreamer’s Point and the flower bed design near Creations Shop and Communicore Plaza.

With World Celebration slated to open before the end of the year, progress throughout the area appears on pace for that target from the aerial view. Of course, building interiors and progress are not depicted in aerial views, but the image is promising to see the project nearing completion.

As mentioned in the X post above, a small amount of the new concrete design has also been revealed to guests as a temporary wall has been pulled back.

World Celebration will be the final neighborhood to open at EPCOT following the park’s multi-year reimagining. The large overhaul saw the addition of several new attractions to the park, including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France Pavilion at World Showcase in 2021Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in World Discovery in 2022, and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana in World Nature in October.

World Celebration, upon opening later this year, will contain CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and Dreamers Point. The Walt the Dreamer statue will also be located in the neighborhood on a set of steps behind Spaceship Earth; the statue seemingly arrived at EPCOT in October, and Walt Disney World Resort started selling depictions of the statue as merchandise in mid-September.
