The new Zootopia land opening at Shanghai Disneyland on December 20, 2023, is now visible on the virtual map of the park in the Shanghai Disney Resort app.
Zootopia on Shanghai Disneyland Virtual Map
Zootopia is behind the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Fantasyland. The map artwork depicts the distinct Zootopia skyline.
Zooming in reveals venue names, including Jumbeaux’s Cafe, Fashions by Fru Fru, Disney Zootopia Comes Alive, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, and Zootopia Market.
At Jumbeaux’s Cafe, guests can get the famous “pawpsicle” — a paw-shaped popsicle as seen in “Zootopia.” They will also be able to enjoy a chocolate marshmallow and Officer Clawhauser’s favorite donuts.
Fashions by Fru Fru — by the entrance of Mane Street — will sell the Zootopia Cute collection, new headwear, apparel, accessories, and more. Inside, there will also be special areas themed after Yax the yak and Duke Weaselton. Check out a merchandise preview including a Nick Wilde “pawpsicle” sipper and Hopps family popcorn bucket.
Zootopia: Hot Pursuit is the land’s main attraction. POV videos for the ride have begun appearing online. In Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, guests are rookie police officers at the Zootopia Police Department (ZPD) assigned as back-up to Officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. In the queue, guests will encounter audio-animatronics of Officer Clawhauser and Chief Bogo. The ride vehicles are inspired by police cars.
Outside, there will be various meet and greets and interactions with characters from “Zootopia.” Characters will include Fru Fru, her father Mr. Big, Koslove the polar bear, Flash the sloth, Yax the yak, Duke Weaselton the weasel, and the Hopps family, who will talk amongst themselves and with guests from the windows of Zootopia buildings. In a reveal of Cast Member costumes, we got our first look at the Fru Fru and Flash puppets.

A “Zootopia 2” is currently in development and Disney producer Brad Simonsen said it will be just as “good or better” than the original film.
A 3D “Zootopia” show is in the works to replace “It’s Tough To Be a Bug” in the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Before now, the “Zootopia” presence in Disney Parks has been largely limited to appearances by Judy and Nick for meet-and-greets or in cavalcades and parades. Are you excited for more “Zootopia” in Disney Parks? Let us know in the comments.
