Halloween Horror Nights is the highlight of the year for most Universal fans. Now that we’re into January, this year’s event is creeping closer and closer. Instead of resolutions, perhaps a bucket list might be more appropriate for those that might not survive Halloween Horror Nights. Blumhouse has posted their own bucket list for 2024, hinting at a return to Halloween Horror Nights this year.
Blumhouse Teases Return to Halloween Horror Nights 2024
The post was made on the official Blumhouse Instagram account, listing things like “scare someone at 3:33 a.m.”, “use a ouija board”, and “go to Halloween Horror Nights”. Universal and Blumhouse have worked together frequently in the past, so it’s no surprise they’ll be teaming up again.
Last year, Halloween Horror Nights included the “The Exorcist: Believer” house on both coasts even though the film had not released in theaters yet. The house was like walking through a living trailer for the film prior to the release. You can read our review from Orlando here or watch our walkthrough video from Hollywood here. Killer M3GAN dolls also performed routines at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Universal Studios Hollywood had an incredible exhibit of costumes and props at the Blumhouse Behind the Screams experience at Halloween Horror Nights. One of the highlights of that exhibit was the screen-used animatronics from the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” film. With a sequel already in pre-production, could “Five Nights at Freddy’s” be part of Halloween Horror Nights this year?
BlumFest was held at Universal Orlando last year and a photo op experience was available in CityWalk. One photo backdrop was for “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, leading many fans to speculate if that could be the first official announcement for Halloween Horror Nights in 2024. Other photo ops here were for The Black Phone, M3GAN, and The Exorcist: Believer, which are all movies that have been featured at the event. Of course, there are plenty of other Blumhouse movies that could be a part of this event.
