FULL GUIDE to the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

As invited media, Disney provided WDWNT with a $100 gift card for food and beverage for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, so some of the following coverage was hosted. As always, WDWNT will still provide our honest thoughts on all below.

2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts runs from January 12 to February 19, 2024. The festival is a celebration of all art, from the theater to painting to music. And of course, it honors of the art of food with special limited-time menu items available at quick-service locations and food studios.

Festival Passport

The festival passport contains all the information you need when visiting the festival. These are available at merchandise locations and art galleries, as well as at map kiosks at the EPCOT entrance. The passport contains full food menus (without pricing), and lists of entertainment and activities.

Entertainment

Figment Spaceship Earth Light Show

The Figment-inspired Spaceship Earth light show has returned from last year. It features the voices of Figment and Dreamfinder from the original Journey Into Imagination. Watch our video of the light show below.

Disney on Broadway

Disney on Broadway stage

Disney on Broadway performances are in the America Gardens Theatre at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. each evening. Broadway performers appearing this year include Caissie Levy (“Frozen”), Patti Murin (“Frozen”), Gavin Lee (“Beauty and the Beast”), Heidi Blickenstaff (“The Little Mermaid”), Ashley Brown (“Mary Poppins”), L. Steven Taylor (“The Lion King”), Josh Strickland (“Tarzan”), Kissy Simmons (“The Lion King”), Mandy Gonzalez (“Aida”), Michael James Scott (“Aladdin”), Bradley Gibson (“The Lion King”), and Shoba Narayan (“Aladdin”). Disney on Broadway dining packages include guaranteed seating at a show on the night of your dining reservation.

World Showcase Plaza Performances

At World Showcase Plaza, guests can enjoy live music, visual art in performance, and Art Defying Gravity. The latter is an acrobatics performance on Saturdays through Wednesdays. Showtimes for all three types of performances can be found in the My Disney Experience app daily.

Chalk Art

Guests can see artists creating chalk art live on the World Showcase bridge. When the artists aren’t there, the chalk art remains to admire — at least until it rains. Chalk art will change throughout the festival.

Activities

Animation Academy

Disney artists will teach guests how to draw their favorite characters at the Animation Academy in America Gardens Theatre at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily.

Step-in Photo Ops

Wish storybook photo-op at Festival of the Arts

There are three new step-in photo-ops this year inspired by “Wish,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Mary Poppins.” They are located on World Showcase bridge.

These photo ops are returning from previous years:

  • International Gateway: Luncheon of the Boating Party – Pierre-Auguste Renoir
  • The American Adventure: Washington Crossing the Delaware – Emanuel Leutze
  • Between Italy Pavilion and Germany Pavilion: Mona Lisa – Leonardo da Vinci
  • Between Italy Pavilion and Germany Pavilion: The Scream – Edvard Munch
  • Mexico Pavilion: An Homage to Frida Kahlo

Figment’s Brush With the Masters Scavenger Hunt

2024 Figments Brush with the Masters map

Guests can purchase this scavenger hunt map for $9.99 at Creations Shop, Port of Entry, or World Traveler. The palette-shaped map features empty frames representing different locations throughout EPCOT. On the back is a sheet of stickers representing famous works of art. Guests just have to find the works of art, which each feature the addition of Figment, and put the corresponding sticker in the correct spot on the map.

After completing the scavenger hunt, guests can redeem their map at Creations Shop, Port of Entry, or World Traveler for a prize. The prizes are paint-your-own figurines of Mickey, Figment, or Minnie — you get one per map. They each include paint and a brush.

Chalk Full of Character

Chalk Full of Character is also a scavenger hunt, but there is no price or prize. “Chalk” murals of Disney characters can be spotted all over World Showcase. New this year are characters from “The Aristocats,” “The Great Mouse Detective,” and “Pocahontas.”

Expression Section

Expression Section is a giant paint-by-number mural that guests can participate in throughout the day. It’s open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and rotates through different original EPCOT-inspired works of art. Guests get paint and a sponge brush to fill in six numbered squares on the mural. They get a bookmark of what the final mural will look like.

Kids’ Chalk Art

Kids’ Chalk Art is located on World Showcase bridge. Cast Members have chalk on hand that guests can use to draw on the ground or a blackboard.

The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine

The festival’s third scavenger hunt is food based. Guests must purchase any five items from the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine list. There are seven items available at various food studios, and you can purchase an item multiple times. When you purchase, ask the Cast Member at that studio for a stamp in the back of your festival passport.

After receiving five stamps, you can receive a complimentary prize at Deco Delights. Read our reviews of all seven participating menu items and the complimentary treat.

There are 16 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts food studios, plus exclusive items at year-round dining venues, for a total of 22 locations. You can read our reviews of all NEW food and beverage items as well as our reviews of EVERY food and beverage item available at the festival.

There are dozens of artists with work available for purchase at the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. Figment Collection

As usual, Figment is a featured player on this year’s EPCOT International Festival of the Arts merchandise collection. Mickey is also featured on one limited release pin. Check out the full Festival of the Arts merchandise collection, available at Creations Shop and festival markets throughout EPCOT.

Imagination Pavilion Figment Popcorn Bucket

A popcorn bucket shaped like the triangular Imagination pavilion. The building is clear and Figment jumps over a rainbow inside.

Perhaps the most hotly-anticipated item at the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is the new Imagination! Pavilion-inspired Figment popcorn bucket. The bucket is available at Figment’s Inspiration Station in the Odyssey Pavilion for $30. It comes with rainbow popcorn and is inspired by the double-glass pyramids of the real-life pavilion. Figment is pictured inside diving over a rainbow. It also lights up from the inside. There is a limit of two buckets per person, per transaction.
