Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Park will temporarily get a Lightning Lane option through Disney Genie+ Service starting later this month, according to the Orange County Register. The addition coincides with the closure of The Haunted Mansion nearby for refurbishment, as well as the ongoing construction of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and refurbishment of Mark Twain Riverboat.
Pirates of the Caribbean Coming to Genie+
The classic attraction does not currently have a Lightning Lane option, either through Disney Genie+ service or separately. It will be added to the service starting on Monday, January 22, 2024. Disneyland officials told OC Register that the addition of Pirates of the Caribbean is not permanent, but an end date was not announced.
The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park will get new grounds and a gift shop this year. Construction walls went up a few days ago and The Haunted Mansion will be closed starting on January 22. As a result of the refurbishment and Haunted Mansion Holiday in the fall and winter, the standard version of The Haunted Mansion will likely not return until 2025.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which replaces Splash Mountain, will open in late 2024. The Tiana’s Foods water tower was recently installed at the Disneyland version of the attraction.
The Mark Twain Riverboat has been closed since September 2023 and is scheduled to reopen on February 3, 2024. The riverboat was repainted during refurbishment work.
Disney Genie+
Disney Genie+ Service replaced MaxPass at Disneyland Resort. With the purchase of the service, guests have the option to reserve entry to an attraction through its Lightning Lane, which is theoretically faster than waiting in the regular line. Most Lightning Lanes are included, but Lightning Lane access for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or Radiator Springs Racers is a separate purchase.

And the following Disney California Adventure attractions have Lightning Lane through Genie+:
