We’re less than a week from the start of Halloween Horror Nights 33. Crew members are putting the final touches on scare zones, the Tribute Store, and more at Universal Studios Florida.

Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store

A street scene with a person in the distance near a public library building. Bright red and yellow structure on the left, graffiti on the right, and a few people sitting on the sidewalk.

On Friday, we saw crew members carrying covered props into the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store, which is located in the New York area of the park. At the time, the store’s exit area was blocked off with blue construction walls.

A sidewalk is enclosed by metal barricades next to a building, with a small tree inside the barricaded area and a trash bin located near the entrance.

The walls were removed overnight. As of Saturday morning, they had been replaced with temporary barriers around a section of the sidewalk.

A building covered in scaffolding and black plastic tarp. A graffiti-covered construction fence in the foreground displays the words "Tribe's Store." Two blue barrels are at the base of the fence.

As for the Tribute Store façade, themed scaffolding has been added above the shipping container entrance. The scaffolding is draped with tattered black tarps. A black barrel sits near the top.

Storefront under construction with scaffolding and black tarp, surrounded by a barricade painted with colorful graffiti reading "TRIBE STORE". Blue barrels are set next to the barricade. Sunny weather.

Tension cables run from the scaffolding down to blue barrels at each corner of the container. There are lights on the front of the container ready to illuminate the “Tribute Store” graffiti.

A construction walkway with yellow flooring and metal railings on both sides is set up alongside a building on a sunny day. People are visible in the background walking on the street.

Inside the shipping container are two new strings of lights. Guests will enter the container from ramps on either side and then walk through an opening into the Tribute Store.

A construction site with scaffolding and a "TRIBUTE STORE" sign in front of a beige building. Metal barricades block the area. The sky is clear.

As of Saturday morning, a set of barriers blocks access to the Tribute Store façade and the surrounding street.

Torture Faire Scare Zone

People gathered around a bull-themed amusement ride called "The Brazen Bull," set up in front of a storefront with signs "Saloon" and "Finnegan's Liquor." The street is lively with various activities.

Down the street in the Torture Faire scare zone, the Brazen Bull has a new prop. A golden bellows has been attached to one of the trusses next to the bull’s tail.

Sahara Traders

A museum display featuring crates, plants, and artifacts related to ancient Egypt sits next to a wall with movie posters and two seated visitors.

The HHN display in Sahara Traders has some updates. When we last checked on the store, a bat statue had been revealed in a crate. The statue is now gone, although a poster still displays a picture of the figure, which is connected to The Museum: Deadly Exhibits haunted house.

A cluttered scene featuring greenery, assorted containers, a burlap sack, arrows, and papers.

The crate is still there, with snapped rope and broken wood. This crate has been constantly updated. In an earlier post, the crate was closed and tied with rope.

An old, worn book with a QR code on its cover, surrounded by vegetation and a cluttered background.

This nearby QR code leads to a Halloween Horror Nights Instagram filter.

A bulletin board displays news clippings about construction halts, museum robbery, shadowy figures, and a local warehouse reopening. The center of the board has "What Does It Mean?" written in red.

An open manila folder displays new newspaper clippings. A hand-written note in the center reads, “What does it mean?” One clipping includes a picture of the Tribute Store façade with the headline, “Construction halted as city spirals into madness over shadowy ‘bat creature.'” The last two words are underlined.

Two newspaper clippings on a table mention a museum robbery and sightings of a shadowy figure causing unrest in the city, surrounded by greenery.

Another clipping describes a break-in at the Museum of Antiquities. “Museum Robbed! Recently donated exhibit ransacked” reads the headline, next to a picture of the bat statue. The story references the “soon to be revealed” exhibit Wonders of the Ancient Garden and notes large vines and foliage have grown over the crime scene.

A paper with various news clippings, including articles on a missing security guard and a football player attacked by a bat. Handwritten text reads: "What does it mean?" with red underlining.

A “News in Brief” clipping features the headline “Security guard missing after museum ‘heist.'” It seems the bat statue was stolen from the Museum of Antiquities. The story references a broken skylight, leading some to believe the artifact was flown out.

A “Sports in Brief” clipping reads, “Football player removed from game after being attacked by bat.” A red “X” is over the story, which describes a spectator attacking the football player with a baseball bat — not a bat creature.

Close-up of an old scrapbook page showing newspaper clippings about unrest in New York City and the reopening of a local warehouse after roof repairs.

Another headline reads “Shadowy figure stalks the city, rumors of unrest continue to grow.” In the story, the words “winged creature” and “foliage” are underlined. The final headline reads, “Local warehouse reopens after roof collapse repaired.”

‘Enter the Blumhouse’ Stage

An outdoor display for "Wolf Man" with a dark backdrop, surrounded by plants and a sign promoting "Halloween Horror Nights," in a setting with trees and various buildings in the background.

This small stage in the San Francisco area has been decorated for Blumhouse’s upcoming release “Wolf Man.” The stage is located next to the “Enter the Blumhouse” scare zone.

A movie poster for "Wolf Man" with a house under a full moon. A sign in front reads "Pardon our dust" and explains an ongoing park renovation.

A backdrop behind the stage features a farmhouse with windows illuminated at night. The “Wolf Man” title is across the top with “Only in theaters January 17.”

Assorted potted plants and hay bales arranged next to a "No Trespassing" sign on a paved area in front of buildings.

Plants, hay, and shovels have been added to the scene around the stage. A sign reads “No Trespassing: there is nothing here worth dying for.”

A wheelbarrow and various plants are displayed with a sign that reads, "Pardon our dust," promoting Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights and the film "Wolf Man.

A wheelbarrow leans against the set.

‘Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus’ Signs

Signs for “Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus” are up outside of the former Fear Factor Live amphitheater in World Expo.

A promotional sign for "Nightmare Fuel Nocturnal Cirque" at Halloween Horror Nights, listing showtimes at 8:00 PM, 9:30 PM, 11:00 PM, and 12:30 AM, with warnings about content and effects.

There are two signs displaying showtimes: 8 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 11 p.m., and 12:30 a.m. Like the houses, the show is exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights and will only be performed on event nights.

The signs also display warnings for the show. This one states guests with medical sensitivity to strobe and fog effects should not experience the show.

A warning sign at an attraction outlines restrictions for individuals with certain medical conditions and lists prohibited behaviors, such as line jumping, smoking, and photography.

A larger warning sign indicates guests with heart conditions, abnormal blood pressure, fear of enclosed spaces, or a recent surgery that may be aggravated should also stay away. There is also a code of conduct.

A large outdoor sign reads "Nightmare Fuel Nocturnal Circus" with details about nightly shows during Halloween Horror Nights. The sign is set against a backdrop of trees and blue sky.

The largest sign is a banner featuring spear-like arrows jutting out from the show’s name. Circus tent stripes curve down to the bottom of the banner. The background is smoky purple and orange.

“Nightmare Fuel” is an annual show with a new version every year Former versions include “Wildfire” and “Revenge Dream.” The show won a Brass Ring Award at the IAAPA Honors 2024.

The HHN Bar

A new sign at Battery Park indicates this spot will be called The HHN Bar. The simple black and white sign is on the top of a scaffolding archway leading into the park.
