The closure of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park has been extended by at least two more days due to cold weather in Central Florida. Previously, Typhoon Lagoon was scheduled to be closed for three days.
Typhoon Lagoon Closure
Typhoon Lagoon will now be closed through at least Friday, January 16, 2026. Hours are listed for Saturday, January 17, but as we already reported, it’s going to be a cold weekend. The closure may be extended further.
Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s throughout the week. It will get as cold as 34°F on Thursday night.
Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled to close for a seasonal refurbishment after February 14. Disney’s Blizzard Beach will open on February 15. Both parks will then operate at the same time from May 26 through September 8, 2026 for Cool Kids’ Summer offerings.
