Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle Congratulates Thomas Mazloum on Promotion to Disney Experiences Chair

Vahle wrote on Instagram:

I’ve always admired Thomas Mazloum’s ability to combine operational excellence with a genuine passion for our Cast Members. We’ve worked closely together over the years – across cruise ships, resorts and as colleagues leading the U.S. Disney Parks – and I have tremendous respect for his leadership and character. I’m excited to step into the next era of Disney Experiences alongside him. Congratulations on being named Chairman, Thomas!

Vahle was likely also in the running to succeed D’Amaro but expressed no hard feelings at Mazloum getting the position. Vahle has been Walt Disney World President since 2020, replacing D’Amaro when the latter was named Disney Experiences chair.

Mazloum has run Disneyland Resort since March 2025, leading 36,000 cast members. He began his Disney career in 1998 as a hotel director for Disney Cruise Line and later ran Disney Signature Experiences, which includes Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and more. He was also Senior Vice President of Operations at Walt Disney World, overseeing 31 Disney resort hotels, as well as Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports and transportation operations.

The Disney Experiences segment employs more than 185,000 people worldwide and delivered nearly $10 billion in operating income last year — accounting for over half of the company’s total earnings.

In addition to Mazloum’s promotion, Disney announced other leadership changes.
