Construction crews are actively working on the forthcoming Piston Peak National Park in Magic Kingdom. We spotted some metal beams that have been installed in the last few days, and heavy equipment continues to be used on site.
Piston Peak Beam Installation

Just over the construction walls by Big Thunder Mountain, there are newly installed beams near the exit of the ride. As of this morning, March 13, there were roughly one dozen vertical beams installed. At this time, we are unsure of what purpose these beams serve.

We also spotted some construction equipment stationed around the area. Specifically, this morning we saw a red excavator at work behind the former Liberty Belle Riverboat dock. It was moving dirt near the queue entrance of the Haunted Mansion this morning, though it does not appear any work was being done on the dock itself.
A few days ago, we noticed dirt piles stacking up around the construction site. These look unchanged as of this morning. On Monday, we could see the concrete that was poured in late February (courtesy of aerial images from Bioreconstruct). As work continues on Pison Peak National Park, Westward Ho and Big Al’s will close permanently soon, and construction walls will continue shifting forward.
Piston Peak National Park

The Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island closed permanently last summer to be demolished and transformed into both Piston Peak National Park, as part of Frontierland, and Villains Land.
