As Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin approaches its newly announced reopening date of April 8, queue handrails and light poles have just been installed outside the attraction. You can find this ride in the Tomorrowland section of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.
Queue Handrails

Queue handrails have now been installed, where the outside queue will form just in front of the attraction sign. There are also now red light poles installed outside the ride building, as well, which were not there yesterday. They are a continuation of the red light poles seen beyond the construction walls.

For reference, pictured above is what the exterior looked like on March 11 when we noticed the entrance concrete was completed and the archway was cleaned up.

Also, for reference, in this photo above, taken prior to the start of construction, you can see the red light poles outside Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin on the right.
The pavement outside Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin was torn up in January to make way for the new entrance features. Crew members began pouring new concrete a few weeks ago. Now the pavement is filled in. The sign sits on an elevated platform directly in front of the ride’s entry doors.
We now know that the ride will reopen next month, and Disney recently teased Toy Story 5 Easter eggs and more surprises in the updated ride.
This ride will have all-new ride vehicles, replacing the original 1970s If You Had Wings vehicles. Guests will wield new handheld blasters and aim at updated interactive targets. The vehicles will have new displays and a revamped scoring system. A new training scene at the beginning of the ride introduces Buddy the robot. The climactic battle scene is also getting updated.
