As the refurbishment of the Downtown Disney LEGO Store continues, a new Frozen window display is taking shape behind the construction walls, officially replacing the original Woody and Buzz sculpture.
‘Frozen’ LEGO Window Visible, Replacing Woody & Buzz
Back in February, we noticed that the weathered Woody and Buzz LEGO sculptures, who had been present at the entrance to the Downtown Disney LEGO Store since its opening, had been removed.

Their rocket and backdrop were removed shortly afterward.
Earlier this month, yellow and white frames made of oversized LEGO bricks appeared around the exterior window display areas.

Now, we know what is literally taking shape in the space previously occupied by the Toy Story scene: a Frozen sculpture will soon occupy the spot next to the LEGO Store entrance.

Over the construction walls, we can see a Frozen logo plaque made of LEGO bricks has been installed against a backdrop of an icy mountainside with dimensional blue snowflakes. A LEGO logo sign sticks out from the backdrop into the middle of the brick archway.

The other three brick archways around the LEGO Store exterior have also been completed, although the center left spot (previously occupied by a Beauty and the Beast scene) is still vacant. The spot farthest to the right is also empty.

Notably, the space backdrop in the center right spot has been restored, so we’ll see if a restored version of the original LEGO astronaut will soon take flight once more.
Downtown Disney LEGO Store Refurbishment

In January 2026, the iconic LEGO model of Prince Phillip battling Maleficent atop Downtown Disney’s LEGO Store was restored with new elements. The store’s other original exterior sculptures have also been steadily removed, and currently, we don’t know which ones will be restored or replaced entirely.
Are you sad that Woody and Buzz have been replaced by a Frozen scene? Are you hoping they’ll reappear in one of the other empty spots around the LEGO Store? Let us know on social media.
