New aerial photos from bioreconstruct show that the buildings in Muppets Courtyard have been completely stripped to studs in preparation for their Monstropolis retheming.

In our last update from the ground, we could see that the currently faceless building facades around the former Muppets Courtyard are completely sheathed in transparent tarps for protection until new facades are installed.

Now, aerial photographer bioreconstruct has given us a bird’s-eye view of the buildings behind the wall, revealing that they’ve been completely stripped down to studs. Two theming permits were recently filed to transform Mama Melrose’s (the taller structure at right) into Harryhausen’s and more.

The wooden forms around the bases of some of the naked facades are to protect electrical conduits. Scaffolding and construction vehicles show that facade installation has already begun.

For context, here is the Monstropolis concept art showing the general idea of the new theming for the area.

Here’s the original post from bioreconstruct:

Meanwhile, show building construction continues on the land’s door vault coaster. The purple gutter is also officially off the former Muppet Vision building. Check out our Monstropolis construction page to see the latest updates.
