Walt Disney Imagineering Files Two More Tropical Americas Construction Permits

Walt Disney Imagineering filed two more “General Construction” permits for Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Like the six permits filed earlier this week, these contract Whiting-Turner. One is for 620 DinoLand Drive, the former site of TriceraTop Spin. The other is for 671 DinoLand Drive, the former entrance to The Boneyard.

Concept art indicates the TriceraTop Spin spot will be home to trees and small buildings, possibly snack stands or merchandise kiosks. The Boneyard is being replaced by a carousel of Disney animals.

As usual, the permits expire in one year.

Nine electrical work permits for the area were filed back in April and three Indiana Jones ride permits were filed in May. Disney also extended a permit for the Encanto ride, which also contracts Whiting-Turner.

The company provides a wide array of construction services. They also worked on Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Tomorrowland Launch Depot at Magic Kingdom, and World Celebration Gardens at EPCOT. Universal recently contracted them for work at Epic Universe.
