All that walking around the Magic Kingdom can build up quite an appetite! After soaring with Peter Pan and spinning around in teacups, head on over to The Pinocchio Village Haus to satisfy your hunger. Today, we got a look inside this quick-service dining location to see its health and safety procedures put into place for the reopening.
Beautiful bright flowers adorn these planter boxes set beneath the window facade outside.
A Cast Member waits outside the location to greet you with a QR code to scan. Once you scan this code with your mobile device, you will be able to view their menu and place your order. Once it has been processed, you will be alerted that your order is ready to be picked up. Mobile Order has been implemented at multiple dining locations such as Flame Tree Barbecue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in the Magic Kingdom.
The queue for this dining location has been altered to allow for proper social distancing. Notice the front of the building is no longer where guests can enter. They must instead follow the green and white floor markers along the path to the side, located next to “it’s a small world”. Above the archway, you can see a small sign that says “Mobile Order Pick up Only Entrance.” Guests are greeted by friendly Cast Members as they enter.
A notification will have informed you which Pick-Up window to go to when the order is ready. The Pick-Up window numbers are indicated both at each register and on the ground. Plexiglass barriers separate Cast Members and guests at the counters.
This cutlery dispenser allows guests to retrieve their forks, knives, and spoons without the head of each utensil being exposed. Simply grab the handle and pull it! We have seen these at various quick-service locations in the theme parks such as at Pecos Bill Tale Tale Cafe.
One of the biggest changes that came to this location is where guests can enjoy their meals. The staircase to the second floor is chained off, requiring guests to dine only on the first floor during this time.
Likely the most popular place to sit inside is at the window looking out over the load area to the most quintessential Disney attraction, “it’s a small world”. Note there are tables that have small signs placed indicating where not to sit. This allows diners to sit and safely eat at least 6 feet apart from others.
After speaking with a Cast Member we were informed the popular props that children once were able to use and direct at guests below at “it’s a small world,” were not available at this time.
