Magic Kingdom
- We caught ride vehicles testing on TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom again.
- TikTok user Natalie Curling shared a video of several Sheriff’s Department officers escorting a young guest out of Magic Kingdom yesterday evening.
- A video shows a guest services Cast Member attempting to wrangle a snake outside the Magic Kingdom entrance.
- Good morning and royal greetings from Magic Kingdom! It’s a beautiful Florida day, and we’re happy to have you join us around the park in the latest photo report.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- “Fantasmic!” will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios later this year with a new scene and “technical enhancements,” which we have now learned more about.
- We snagged a MagicBand+ when it was accidentally released early, and now we’re starting to see the slow rollout of effects for the Fab 50 character statues throughout Walt Disney World. We already completed this quest at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, now we’re taking our MagicBand+ around Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Starting June 27, “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” will be performed four times a day instead of seven or eight at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney Springs
- “Drawn to Life” by Cirque du Soleil is currently on a scheduled two-week break.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is set to receive room refurbishments.
New Merchandise
- A new Loungefly mini backpack featuring the Dapper Dans is now available at Walt Disney World.
- On our latest visit to the Magic Kingdom, we spotted a new Princess balloon for sale in a variety of colors.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Walt Disney World has donated $30,000 to Give Kids The World Village, with help from guests who make wishes at water features throughout the resort.
- A federal judge has officially dismissed the case against Governor Ron DeSantis filed by Osceola County taxpayers.
- Air Canada is continuing their celebration for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World with a newly themed kid’s room in the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Disneyland Resort
- Fantasmic! returns to Disneyland on May 28, and you can prepare for the celebration of its 30th anniversary with a new limited edition pin from 20th Century Music Co.
- More merchandise from EPCOT has arrived at Disneyland, this time in the form of apparel featuring the Mexico pavilion.
- Nearly 700 lots from one of the most significant assemblages of actual park-displayed signs, props, artifacts, and more from Disneyland and Disney theme parks around the world will be offered May 21-22 in Heritage Auctions’ DISNEYLAND: THE AUCTION Signature® Auction.
- America Chavez, the newest Marvel Cinematic Universe hero, has been added to select performances of the “Mysteries of the Mystic Arts” show featuring Doctor Strange in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
- If you’re looking to add some superhero style to your summer wardrobe, Star Traders at Disneyland has new crop tops by Our Universe that would be perfect for a day in the parks.
- Earlier this year, we saw characters from “Onward” and “Turning Red” added to Pixar Pal-A-Round gondolas, and now Joe Gardner and Mr. Mittens from “Soul” have taken over another one.
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa
- Disney has announced that Aunty’s Beach House at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, will reopen on May 25, treating keiki (kids) ages 5-12 to fun and adventure and — for the first time — debuting evening activities for the whole family.
Disney Cruise Line
- The Disney Wish will be making its maiden voyage this summer and of course, there will be plenty of inaugural merchandise. Disney Cruise Line has now released the first look at some of the apparel and Pandora charms that will also be available on the ship.
Entertainment and Media
- “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” hit theaters last week and was full of surprise cameos. We won’t spoil any here, but we now know that one rumored cameo was talked about behind-the-scenes, even though it never came to fruition.
Disney+
- Author Rick Riordan, who is writing the series and cast the actors, has responded to the backlash against the casting of Leah Jeffries as Annabeth Chase on his blog.
The Walt Disney Company
- U.S. Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri has introduced legislation called the Copyright Clause Restoration Act of 2022 that would limit copyright protection to 56 years, specifically as an attack on The Walt Disney Company and their “special copyright protections,” following their denouncement of the “Don’t Say Gay” law in Florida.
