The shrimp was nicely fried and not fishy. The dried hibiscus flower worked like a slaw and the aïoli tasted like spicy mayonnaise. The tortilla was also nice and soft.

*NEW* “Giant” Tostada de Carne: Oaxacan Tostada, Barbacoa Beef, Guacamole, Jícama, Pumpkin Seeds, and Salsa Macha – $11.50

Savor a tostada topped with shredded beef, diced onions, guacamole, and hot sauce on a white plate, perfectly capturing the vibrant flavors of the Flower & Garden Festival.

Overall the beef was bland and under-seasoned. The crispy tostada was nice and the guacamole was noticeable in the spread. This would be a good dish for a picky eater.

*NEW* Chocoflan: Layered Traditional Mexican Flan and Chocolate Cake with Toasted Walnuts – $6.50

A square piece of chocolate cake, reminiscent of a Flower & Garden Festival delight, is topped with caramel, nuts, and a sprinkle of salt, presented elegantly on a white plate.

This dish was amazing. The sweet caramel flavor from the flan paired well on top of the moist, decadent, and rich chocolate cake. The crunch of the walnuts was also nice.

Craft Mexican Draft Beer (5.0% ABV) – $6.25 for 6 oz., $11.50 for 12 oz.

A cast member at Jardin de Fiestas told us this was Hércules Lägermaiz. Crafty Beer Market describes this beer: “Straw-colored lager made with Mexican corn from our harvest, German malts and noble hops. Light and very refreshing beer.”

As one of our review team members said, “It’s like every drink we’ve ever had from Mexico.” It is an improvement from the other mezcal drinks we’ve had.

*NEW* Elderflower-Cucumber Margarita: Dulce Vida Blanco Tequila ($27/bottle), Elderflower Liqueur, and Cucumber-Lime Juice – $14.25

A clear beverage in a decorated cup labeled "Jardin de Fiestas" rests on a green table, capturing the essence of the Flower & Garden Festival. In the background, there's a partial view of a plate with food, adding to the vibrant scene.

This mostly tasted like cucumber water with a hint of tequila and an elderflower flavor following up at the end.
