Uncork California Marketplace
*NEW* California Artisan Cheese with Central Coast Creamery Holey Cow Swiss and Vintage Cheese Co. Cabernet Cheddar (Vegetarian) – $8.50
While the California Artisan Cheeseboard was available during the 2019 Food & Wine Festival, it returns this year with new cheese selections. The White Wine, Red Wine and Mimosa trio are also returning this year with new selections in their respective flights.
Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo Marketplace
*NEW* Ranch Fried Chicken Wings with Buffalo Hot Sauce Drizzle – $8.00
Wings. A classic dish we all know and love… but ranch fried wings? That’s a little different.
French Onion Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider – $8.50
The Fermier cheese really made this slider. It had almost a fruity taste while also being extremely savory.
*NEW* Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch – $6.50
Cutting into this, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were happily surprised.
I Heart Artichokes Marketplace
Fried Artichokes with Lemon Aïoli (Vegetarian) – $7.00
This item looks similar to the Fried Artichoke Carbonara from two years ago, but it’s different. And unfortunately, it’s also not as good.
Artichoke Toast with Artichoke Cream Cheese and Olive & Artichoke Tapenade (Vegetarian) – $6.50
The toast is a great portion size and we were pleasantly surprised by this. It’s one of the biggest portions for the price throughout the entire festival.
Berry Patch Marketplace
*NEW* Raspberry-Lychee-Rose Custard with Mixed Berry Compote – $6.00
This custard dessert features layers of Greek yogurt, pearled tapioca, and a mixed berry compote. Small freeze-dried pieces of strawberries are sprinkled on top to add a crunch.
*NEW* Oikos® Greek Yogurt California Berries Summer Pudding (Contains trace amounts of alcohol) – $5.50
This berry-filled dessert was plated neatly, topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a simple arrangement of a blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry.
*NEW* Ruby Citrus Sparkler (Non-Alcoholic) – $5.00
Don’t let this drink’s appearance fool you! The Ruby Citrus Sparkler seems like it would be a refreshing drink to sip on a hot day, with ingredients like grapefruit juice, agave nectar, raspberry, and mineral water. Sadly, this drink was deceiving.
Hollywood Land Churro Cart
Churro topped with Peanut Butter Cream, Chocolate Icing and Chopped Peanuts – $6.25
We’d highly recommend this if you’re into the classic pairing of chocolate and peanut butter, and looking for a heftier churro offering.
Schmoozies!
*NEW* Almond Mocha Shake – $7.99
This shake is great! The strongest flavor was mocha, but being paired with subtle notes of almond made it all the more delicious.
*NEW* Almond Mocha Affogato – $5.99
Mocha espresso surrounding a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a almond bits––what more could you ask for?
One In A Melon Marketplace
*NEW* Compressed Watermelon and Tomato with Whipped Ricotta and Lemon Olive Oil (Vegetarian, Gluten-Friendly) – $7.00
At first glance, this dish appears to be an odd combination of ingredients, and we were a bit unsure of how all of the flavors would work together. Surprisingly, this was our favorite food dish of the booth.
*NEW* Poke-style Watermelon with Cucumber (Plant-Based, Gluten-Friendly) – $6.75
We love a good poke bowl, but this dish was just strange. The watermelon and rice combination created clashing textures and flavors that didn’t work together at all.
*NEW* Pabana Cream Puff with Mango, Passion Fruit and Banana Mousse – $5.50
Take a trip to this islands with this little cream puff! A bold mixture of tropical flavors, this pastry is packed full of fruity goodness.
*NEW* Berry Mule (Alcoholic) – $14.00
We can best compare this drink to plain watermelon juice with a tiny kick, thanks to the ginger beer and vodka. The berry mule was a let-down.
*NEW* House-made Watermelon Agua Fresca (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.00
The House-made Watermelon Agua Fresca is made with peaches, watermelon, agave nectar, and lime juice.
Off the Cob Marketplace
*NEW* Mini Chicken Chimis with Chimichurri Corn Pico de Gallo and Chipotle Crema – $8.00
The corn pico de gallo was excellent and brought a bright flavor to the dish, while also adding some color.
*NEW* Shrimp and Braised Corn with Chorizo (Gluten-Friendly) – $8.25
The corn that accompanied the shrimp was delicious and added a robust, roasted flavor. The chorizo was tender and added an additional layer of flavor.
*NEW* Mickey-shaped Caramel-Peanut-Milk Chocolate Macaron – $6.50
This Mickey-shaped sweet treat was an interesting surprise. At first glance, we were sure it would be nice and soft, but it actually ended up being extremely chewy.
*NEW* Fields & Orchards with Elderflower and Artichoke Liqueurs (Alcoholic) – $14.00
You know it’s a bad sign when we didn’t even finish this drink. Overall, it was just too acidic and syrupy.
*NEW* Farmstand Punch (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.00
Nothing stood out about this drink, either. It was basically like drinking a glass of fruit punch.
Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta
*NEW* Nutella Cheesecake – $5.99
This cheesecake is topped with a chocolate hazelnut drizzle and chopped hazelnuts. Aesthetically, the drizzle and topping really glams up what could’ve been a very boring-looking cheesecake.
Sonoma Terrace
*NEW* California Cheesesteak – $11.50
This was our least favorite dish from Sonoma Terrace. It was close to something you would get from a fair. The meat wasn’t a great quality and was somewhat chewy.
*NEW* Italian Meatball Sandwich – $10.49
The portion size is excellent and could make a guest very full if they ate this by themselves. We do wish there was a little more sauce on the sandwich, though. The cheese was also good, and distributed well.
*NEW* Bavarian Pretzel with Cheese Sauce – $7.99
The pretzel was better than a normal Disney pretzel; it had a nice texture and wasn’t too dry. It came out warm and was easy to pull apart.
*NEW* Triple Chocolate Brownie – $7.50
This was one of our favorite desserts in the entire festival. It was served cold, with bits of strawberry surrounding the dense chocolate cake.
*NEW* Catalina Island – Vodka and Passion Fruit with flavors of Raspberry Lemonade and Lime (Alcoholic) – $13.00
This vodka drink seemed to be missing… vodka? It tasted very sugary and sweet, with not much alcohol. A little syrupy with a blue Kool-Aid taste. Not one of our favorites.
California Craft Brews Marketplace
Pepperoni Pizza Egg Rolls – $7.00
They tasted a little like Totino’s Pizza Rolls, which can be good or bad depending on how you feel about Pizza Rolls. The sauce was a nice touch and paired really well with the rolls.
*NEW* Triple B Cocktail with Beer, Bourbon and Berries (Alcoholic) – $13.00
We’ve tried our fair share of syrupy cocktails at this year’s festival, but none so bad as the Triple B. It tastes like concentrated berry syrup and is likely the most gross thing we had all festival.
LA Style Marketplace
Asian-style Beef Barbacoa Street Tacos – $8.00
We loved this taco! We’d pay twice as much to get these again. The meat is seasoned very well and the pickled ginger is a nice touch.
*NEW* Smoked Bacon Barbecue Beef Loco Moco on Rice (Gluten-Friendly) – $7.50
This tender beef dish serves up some barbecue flavoring. The meat was somewhat overdone and was likened it to a higher quality Salisbury steak. We found the rice was good, and the egg and green onion added some interesting contrast.
*NEW* Monkey Bread with Caramel Whiskey Glaze and Candied Pecans (Contains trace amounts of alcohol) – $6.00
This monkey bread was very dry and did not offer a lot of toppings.
*NEW* Amaretto Stout-Cream Cold Brew (Alcoholic) – $13.00
This cold brew was very, very good. The coffee itself was very smooth and had the perfect amount of cream, making the drink not bitter, but still retaining a good coffee taste.
*NEW* Blue Angeleno Cocktail (Alcoholic) – $13.00
Garlic Kissed Marketplace
Black Garlic Soy-braised Pork Belly Banh Mi – $8.00
And for the fourth year in a row, this pork belly sandwich was a standout. Pork Belly Banh Mi is an item we see pretty regularly at Disney California Adventure Festivals—for good reason. We hope this item continues to return each year.
Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese with Nueske’s® Bacon – $8.00
We just loved this twist on the classic Mac & Cheese, so much so that we are willing to label it as one of our favorite dishes at the festival!
*NEW* Aperol Cocktail (Alcoholic) – $14.75
This is one of those dangerous drinks where even though the taste of alcohol is present, it’s just so fruity, you forget and drink more!
Salt & Straw
*NEW* Apple Pie with Beecher’s Flagship Cheesecake: Warm-spiced Apple Pie Ice Cream with Beecher’s Flagship Cheddary Cheesecake – $6.25
With this treat, Salt & Straw promises an ice cream sure to taste like a cheddary cheesecake with a blend of warm apple pie ice cream.
Peppers Cali-ente Marketplace
*NEW* Creamy Poblano Pepper Pasta (Vegetarian) – $7.75
This rotini pasta is covered with a roasted poblano sauce, with a roasted red pepper drizzle and crumbled cheese.
*NEW* Grilled Shrimp Tacos on Jicama Tortillas (Gluten-Friendly) – $8.00
These tacos had an extremely fresh taste. The shrimp was marinated well and had a little bit of spice to them, but not too much.
*NEW* Cantarito-style Paloma (Alcoholic) – $13.00
This drink was sweet, spicy, and very fruity. It’s light and refreshing compared to other beverages available at the festival, but people may not like how spicy it is. This is one of the less syrupy options at the festival.
Paradise Garden Grill
Impossible™ Meatball Submarine (Plant-Based) – $11.99
This menu item is back for the second year in a row and it’s still delicious. It’s hard for us to believe it’s meatless because it tastes like a real meatball.
*NEW* Beer-battered Fish Tacos, with Karl Strauss® Follow the Sun Pilsner-infused Batter – $13.49
These pair of tacos are served on corn tortillas filled with flakey, beer-battered cod, cabbage slaw, pico de gallo, and yogurt crema. They also come with a side of corn tortilla chips.
Buffalo-style Roasted Turkey Leg with Celery Slaw and Blue Cheese (Gluten-Friendly) – $12.99
This was an interesting addition to the menu this year. The turkey leg itself was a little dry and tasted no different from the turkey legs being offered at carts throughout the Resort.
*NEW* Brisket Sliders – $12.49
These sliders come with a solid scoop of BBQ brisket topped with an apple slaw to make a sweet and savory flavor combination. The sandwiches come with a side of standard Disney Parks French fries.
*NEW* Brisket Fries – $13.49
If you’re looking for a larger portion size of meat than the sliders, you may be better off ordering the brisket fries. This plate of fries is served loaded with BBQ brisket, cheddar cheese sauce, green onions, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of chipotle crema.
Black Forest Parfait – $5.99
This new dessert item was a nice choice. The vanilla, chocolate, and cherry flavors all paired very well together.
*NEW* Berry Spectacular Cookie Shake (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.99
This shake is a blend of mixed berries, whole milk, yogurt, and iced animal cookies crumbles. It’s topped with a good pinch of rainbow sprinkles and an icing-covered animal cookie.
Nuts About Cheese Marketplace
Fiscalini White Cheddar Lager Soup served in a Mini Boudin® Sourdough Bowl – $6.75
This soup is so good. The soup is incredibly thick, creamy, and basically tastes like straight up melted cheese.
*NEW* Impossible™ Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese (Vegetarian) – $8.00
This vegetarian mac & cheese is topped with Impossible meat crumbles made from plants, a special burger sauce and breadcrumbs, but the flavor is just alright.
*NEW* Honey Bourbon Lemonade (Alcoholic) – $13.00
This pre-mixed nightmare was very syrupy, with a strong honey flavor.
Outdoor Vending Carts
*NEW* Savory Beef Empanada with Chipotle Crema – $6.00
This empanada has a little bit of a kick to it. The outside breading is extremely buttery and flakey. The beef inside is warm and cooked perfectly, so it’s not too chewy.
*NEW* Sweet Apple Empanada with Caramel – $6.00
This empanada is basically a handheld apple pie. Like the savory empanada, the outside crust is buttery and flakey.
Golden Dreams Marketplace
*NEW* Brunch Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich with Mimosa-inspired Slaw and OJ Bubbles – $8.00
This was a very fresh twist on the classic chicken and waffle dish. Fried chicken sits in an almost taco-looking waffle topped with mimosa-inspired slaw and OJ bubbles. We were hesitant at first glance, but this was a flavorful dish.
*NEW* Seared Verlasso® Salmon with Lemon Pea Purée, Black Rice and Meyer Lemon Relish (Gluten-Friendly) – $7.75
This dish presented a beautiful piece of seared verlasso salmon topped with a lemon pea purée and Meyer lemon relish, sitting on black rice.
*NEW* Strawberry-Rose Lemonade (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.00
While it is rather acidic, overall, it has a great flavor. The strawberry is obviously the most prominent flavor but there are hints of rose.
*NEW* Fig & Lavender Cold Brew (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.50
Fig and Lavender aren’t usual flavors we see attached to coffee, but thank goodness it’s available at the festival, because we love it.
Avocado Time Marketplace
Petite Impossible™ Burger with Guac and Pepper Jack (Vegetarian) – $8.00
This slider is still just as tasty as last year, but too small for the price. If you find yourself really craving a burger during the Festival, this one still gets the job done.
*NEW* Tortilla-crusted Fried Guacamole with Carne Asada – $8.25
We were excited to try this dish, because we’re immediately interested in anything with guacamole in the name! Portions of guacamole are rolled in a tortilla-based breading and then fried to a golden crisp perfection. The fried guacamole slices are paired with carne asada and served with pico de gallo and an avocado crema on top.
*NEW* Mezcal Cocktail (Alcoholic) – $14.00
This cocktail is a tropical mix of pineapple juice, orange juice, agave nectar, and fresh lime blended with a peppercorn-infused syrup and mezcal. It’s served with a large pineapple slice garnish.
