Welcome back to the Magic Kingdom, where we are thrilled to be finally be visiting, as the park is officially open! On our visit, we have been exploring the park and taking note of all the new health and safety updates which have been implemented since the COVID-19 pandemic, including social distancing measures and more. Our next stop was Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland, so grab your opera glasses and come and enjoy the show with us!

Entering the queue area of the attraction, we can see that new floor markers have been added, showing guests where to wait and adhere to social distancing guidance. The carpet within Mickey’s PhilharMagic is particularly loud in its pattern, so the markers aren’t showing up as boldly as they do in other places around the park. Nevertheless, they’re there.

Once we’re through the line, we enter the foyer of the theater. The first thing we see is a pop-up hand sanitizing station, for guests to use before they advance. This is important at this stage, as it is here guests need to pass through turnstiles and collect their 3D glasses ready for the show.

3D glasses are dropped in bins at the exit to the show and then collected and sanitized.

The foyer outside the theater is open for guests to stand and wait. Gone are the days of Cast Members shouting guests to move “all the way down”, as space must be kept between guests in this part of the attraction, where no formal queuing is taking place.

When the doors to the theater open, we can see that half of the seats are blocked off, with new “Row Closed” signs at the end of the benches, and signage blocking off individual seats too.
