Guests with Advance Dining Reservations Now Receiving Cancellation Notices Due to Shortened Park Hours at Walt Disney World

Beginning September 8, park hours are to be reduced across all four Walt Disney World theme parks. While select dining locations appear to still be accepting reservations for up to an hour after park close, many aren’t extending hours, and as a result, guests are receiving cancellation notices for their upcoming dining reservations.

Readers have reached out to us regarding upcoming dining reservation cancellations at Garden Grill, as an example, which is now set to close with the rest of EPCOT at 7:00 PM starting on September 8. The park currently closes at 9:00 PM daily. Unlike the restaurants outlined below, it’s clear that most restaurants will not extend their hours to accommodate guests given the newly-reduced hours.

Meanwhile at the Magic Kingdom, which will close at 6:00 PM starting in September, some restaurants are still showing times through 7:00 PM, namely Be Our Guest Restaurant and Liberty Tree Tavern. However, we are seeing that dinner reservations are scarce.

The same is true over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which will be closing at 7:00 PM, but ‘50s Prime Time Cafe, Oga’s Cantina, and Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater all are showing reservations available until 8:00 PM.

At this time, it’s still unknown whether reservation availability will change in the coming weeks. Guests with dining reservations affected by the newly-reduced park hours can modify or cancel their reservations without any fees.

We’ll continue to update you on the status of ADRs in the parks as further information arises.
