Welcome to another busy day here at Universal Orlando Resort. We’re gearing up for Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Appreciation Days, starting on August 10, but a few of the new offerings are available early. We decided to head over to Lombard’s Seafood Grille at Universal Studios Florida for lunch so we could check out the new UOAP dining area and exclusive menu offering. As soon as we arrived, we noticed something was missing.

The Lombard’s Fish is missing! We heard that he accidentally fell down the night before and was taken away for repairs. Apparently, it could be as long as 3 weeks before he returns. The clock starts now.

After we finally recovered from the initial shock of the missing Lombard’s Fish, we were able to head into the passholder exclusive dining area located upstairs. After enjoying a delicious Crab Rangoon Dip, we look forward to even more annual passholder exclusive menu items coming soon.

Stanchions and queue ropes have been placed around the entrance of Revenge of the Mummy and blue social distancing markers have been added appropriately around the temporary queue. The Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store takes up a portion of the attraction’s extended queue, so this will help with distancing the crowds when needed.

The Simpsons character banners have been unrolled in Springfield. They had been zip tied in preparation of Tropical Storm Isaias but are now properly displayed again.

Before heading over to Islands of Adventure, we decided to stop into the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store and check out the merchandise status. A new shirt has arrived, which is very similar to the UOAP 30 Years 30 Fears shirt.

We’ve made it over to Islands of Adventure, and our first stop is Seuss Landing to visit some of our friends. You can usually find the Seuss characters out on the small stage located across from the Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop.

Keep an eye out for “Flash Sales” around the parks. Snookers & Snookers Sweet Candy Cookers in Seuss Landing has 50% off select items for a limited time.

Over on the site of the “Velocicoaster” construction, this building has changed greatly since we started covering the project. The brown, crate-like exterior is now dark gray and beginning to resemble the nearby Raptor Encounter.

This really does look like some sort of dinosaur cage now that we can see some of the additional pieces along the sides.

There is a lot of activity along the back side of the show building and we can even see workers inside the tunnel.

Typical afternoon storms are rolling in, and crowds are starting to quickly make their way out of the park. We’re going to join them.
