UPDATE: The Chefs de France reopening has been pushed to October, per the Walt Disney World website. Full details are available here.
It’s time for baguettes, wine, and French Onion Soup! According to a recent update on the Walt Disney World website, it appears that Chefs de France at the France Pavilion in EPCOT is scheduled to reopen this week.
With Disney’s Cultural Representative program temporarily suspended and so many staff and servers back home in France, fans of the restaurant worried that the location would remain shuttered for a while, but it seems they are ready for their phased reopening.
Hours are listed for the restaurant from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM for the extended park hours this weekend, before going back to a regular 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM schedule starting next Monday. Hours are not yet available for Monsieur Paul. You can view the menu for Chefs de France, which still features the popular Prix Fixe Meal option, by clicking here. Reservations are not yet available online.
Eric Weistroffer, Executive Director for JBI, LLC. issued a statement back in August assuring guests that both Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul were expected to open despite staffing constraints. The pavilion looks forward to the grand opening of La Creperie de Paris, which is still set to open with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure as part of the new France Pavilion expansion.
Currently, Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul remain closed, with just L’Artisan des Glaces, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, and a Food & Wine Festival kiosk open at the pavilion.
Can’t wait to get back there! I’ve missed it terribly!
Great improvement on using fewer commas. However, you’ve still got a few redundant ones!
Oh snap! We had originally made plans for dinner at Chefs de France back in April, then the shutdown happened. When we re-booked for early October, France was closed. Now, it’s irrelevant as the Park closes at 7 pm and we don’t eat dinner before 8 pm. Oh well, guess we’ll stick to Morimoto Asia as now planned for that dinner.
