We visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios on a hot and crowded day where it appears that guest attendance is returning to pre-pandemic levels.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror started at a 20 minute wait when we arrived, but it soon jumped up to 45 minutes with a line stretching down Sunset Blvd.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster had a line on the other side of the street.
Meanwhile, Star Tours was at a 60 minute wait.
There was even a line to get into Black Spire Outpost with no given wait time.
It appears that with higher crowds and increased wait times, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is returning to normal.
There is no visible progress on Roundup Rodeo BBQ.
The billboard for Voyage of the Little Mermaid returned last week after scheduled maintenance.
We found a new children’s three piece Rex pajama set at Toy Story Mania’s gift shop for $34.99.
The Hollywood Brown Derby’s canopy was temporarily removed for refurbishment.
The leaves on these trees have begun to change from green to orange, a sign that fall is upon us.
We were lucky to find two Br’er Rabbit Park Pals at Mickey’s of Hollywood. Splash Mountain merchandise is becoming harder to find outside of Magic Kingdom as the attraction’s Princess and the Frog themed overhaul approaches.
Vampirina greeted us from the Disney Junior Character Cavalcade on our way out.
Thank you for joining us at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! How do you feel about the increasing crowds at the parks? Are they a sign of things getting better or worse? Let us know in the comments below!
It’s definitely a sign things are getting better, but they need to implement longer park hours or bring back fast passes with these increased crowds.
I’m sad to see crowds increasing at this time. We’ll be in Orlando soon and were considering a visit as an opportunity for getting photos without people in the background. We felt like it would be pretty safe with the mask requirement and fewer people. But with normal crowds, it will be harder to maintain distance and risky with people coming from all over the country. Too risky for us oldsters for awhile, but we’ll make up for it someday.
We were there too. We had to use our residence tickets before 9/31. People were wearing masks, washing hands and following space. requirements. We were disappointed that there is such a slim chance to get in the virtual queue for Rise of Resistence. We tried again Tues. Smaller crowds on Tues.
