Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom
- Mad Tea Party has reopened at the Magic Kingdom after a brief refurbishment
- The Big Al’s merchandise kiosk in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom now has a new sign, coming after the previous sign was taken down over a month ago
- The Cinderella Castle stage is currently under refurbishment as the castle is prepared for Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary later this year and after being stripped of its platforms and flooring, a layer of weather-proofing has been added
EPCOT
- The ‘Harmonious’ centerpiece ring was moved into World Showcase Lagoon recently, and one Twitter user spotted the water feature testing early this morning at EPCOT
- Once the park opened and we were able to get in and take a look for ourselves, we found more Harmonious testing going on as workers were seen testing one of the arms on the platforms
- For every food festival, each Joffrey’s stand inside EPCOT always goes out of its way to create a special beverage, typically themed to the festival and this year for the Flower & Garden Festival, there are several fruity drink options that we can’t wait to try
- Despite some cooler weather at EPCOT, we still took to the park to find what new things there might be to show you and we want you to come along for the ride in our most recent photo report
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- For the last several months, work has been underway at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to bring a new entrance and monorail station to the Great Ceremonial House, as well as the remodeling of rooms that will now include Moana elements and today, Disney gave us our first peek at these new rooms
- Also in today’s reveal of the Moana themed rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney teased guests about the future of more Walt Disney World resort hotels, possibly including the long-rumored Incredibles overlay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Other Walt Disney World News
- As we enter Spring Break season, Walt Disney World has extended hours at all four theme parks for the last week of March and sporadically in mid-March
- On Monday, March 1, Florida transportation authorities gave Brightline a final deadline of mid-summer to negotiate an agreement with local and state agencies
Disneyland Resort
- It was reported earlier in the day that as case rates in California continue to drop, the guidelines for California’s reopening are being changed which could lead to an earlier opening for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, which have been closed for almost a full year
- Then it was reported by the OC Register that California theme parks can reopen as early as April 1st under updated guidelines from the state’s health department
- In response to the new health guidelines, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock stated that he “can’t wait” to announce the reopening date for the Disneyland Resort, and Universal Studios Hollywood President and COO Karen Irwin echoed the same
- A new Raya and the Last Dragon mural can now be found in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort
Tokyo Disney Resort
- Its been a few months since we’ve visited Tokyo DisneySea, and there have been quite a number of changes to check out, so come along with us to see all that’s new and good in this most recent photo report
New Merchandise
- A new dress is available on shopDisney which is inspired by Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World
- Today, we found a whole new merchandise line featuring Disney’s Boardwalk Resort that has debuted at Walt Disney World including a luxury bathrobe, Nike polo shirt, and silver-trimmed mug with the Disney Boardwalk logo, and a T-shirt and glass which pay tribute to AbracadaBar
