The lobby on the first floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort will close temporarily for refurbishment beginning July 16. This is part of the continued reimagining of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where there will soon be Incredibles-themed rooms and a “reimagined dining experience” at The Wave… of American Flavors.

The elevators, escalators, restrooms, and walkways to bus transportation and the Convention Center will remain open while the lobby is refurbished. The front desk will be available on the second floor.

The refurbishment is set to be complete in late September and will feature an enhanced check-in experience offering an open, free-flowing layout with enhanced seating locations. A collection of modern art pieces, as well as behind-the-scenes photographs of the development and construction of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, will be on display.
