Bonjour, Guten Tag, or however you prefer to say hello! Welcome to a sunny day here in Walt Disney World. Today, we took a trip “around the world” at EPCOT. After that, we adventured over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and found lots of brand new things to show you. So lets jump in!
It seems that “rope drops” are back and here to stay at EPCOT! This classic experience has not been available since Walt Disney World reopened back in July, but we are happy to see things like this returning to the parks.
In Future World, we found that the Liquid Layer Water Play Area has once again reopened. This comes shortly after the reopening of another area beloved by kids visiting EPCOT, Space Base at Mission: SPACE Advanced Training Lab. Note that the other Liquid Layer located between Future World and World Showcase has still not reopened and remains under refurbishment.
Construction continues around World Showcase for Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the upcoming Creations Shop and Club Cool.
Around Future World and World Showcase, we’ve noticed even more physical distancing being decreased. This includes in attraction queues, festival booths, restaurants, and more. Some of the most recent include The Seas with Nemo & Friends, plus Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria and Tutto Italia Ristorante in the Italy Pavilion.
We’ve also seen some pretty big changes to the distancing arrangements at various theaters around the parks. That’s why we weren’t surprised to see that shows like Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along and Canada Far & Wide have now opened every row to guests. Cast members are encouraging you to leave one seat or three feet of space between you and other parties, and of course masks are still required inside these attractions.
Work continues on in the Morocco Pavilion in World Showcase. Recently we discovered that new lamps had been hung inside the construction zone.
The EPCOT Skyliner Station seems to be back to normal after yesterday’s…incident.
Before heading out, we stopped to say hello to Belle and some of her equestrian friends.
After our trip around the world, we decided to take a walk on the wild side over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to see what adventures awaited.
We immediately found something that you’d definitely want to be spotted wearing (see what we did there?)! A new leopard print spirit jersey dawning the words “Walt Disney World” across the back is now available at at Island Mercantile for $69.99. It debuted alongside other adorable leopard print merch, such as the Minnie bow shirt!
We worked up a bit of a sweet tooth, so we decided to try the new “Father and Son Cupcake.” This Father’s Day cupcake featuring Bambi and his father “The Great Prince of the Forest” is available at Flame Tree Barbecue and Restaurantosaurus for 5.99. That wraps up our day! We hope you enjoyed following us around the parks. How do you feel about more and more classic experiences returning to Walt Disney World? Let us know in the comments below We’ll “see ya real soon!”
Happy to see more things opening. We have a 50th Anniversary trip with all our children and grandchildren at the end of this month! Would appreciate hearing about any gluten free items, like cupcakes, available easily at the parks. We have 5 of us that need to be gluten free! Thanks.
