Greetings from a cloudy day at EPCOT, World Travelers!
We started the day at the highway in the sky to set our sights on the ongoing construction progress around World Celebration.
High above the entrance on the monorail ramp, we were able to see an example of the horticulture that has been updated at each of the parks, including new trees planted in front of Spaceship Earth to restore its iconic past look. Here, rows of new bushes have been planted in front of newer trees for a fresh look ahead of the 50th anniversary.

Gateway Gifts has a new Disneyland entrance plaque baseball cap for $27.99.
Earlier last week, the restroom area on the west side of Spaceship Earth had been closed off. The locker portion of the area has since been boarded up.
Over at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the cement pathway is taking shape with more sections added. Not much progress has been made on the side exit.
Cracks along the side of the building have been patched and repainted.
Space Race at the exit to Mission: SPACE has closed once again after returning not too long ago.
A new section of green scrim appeared at the entrance to Creations Shop on the east side. The courtyard area will feature two new festival booths opening October 1.
Planters in front of Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival have been cut down drastically, potentially for removal. A set of planters on one side of the fountain in front of the Imagination Pavilion is missing its green counterpart.
More Apple Orchard and Beauty and the Beast 2021 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival merchandise made its way into Port of Entry in World Showcase.
Planters conceal a large box covered in scrim and camouflage netting just behind Port of Entry.
While we didn’t find any new Disney Fab 50 Statue plots today, 3 of the 5 plots in the promenade to World Showcase featured new bases. Two of the bases were concrete and one is plastic as seen above.
The drums at Refreshment Outpost are the last items to be returned after a long absence.
The refurbishment of the bridge from the Italy Pavilion to World Showcase lagoon is slowly coming along.
Solvent application on the pavement in Morocco is not much further along. New solvent has appeared around the pavilion’s entrance but older solvent has turned dark or almost black in color.
Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion finds itself once again as grab and go only. All seating inside the pub is unavailable or removed.
Darker colored boards have replaced the previous scrim at Northwest Mercantile following its recent exterior prop removal.
Dark brown scrim is now covering the right side of Trading Post Refreshments as refurbishment continues.
