Magic Kingdom

- More 50th anniversary banners have been hung at Magic Kingdom, lining Main Street, U.S.A.
- With the impending launch of Disney Genie and Lightning Lane, the removal of FastPass kiosks around Walt Disney World has begun.
- The “Let the Magic Begin” welcome show appears to be returning to Magic Kingdom for the park’s 50th anniversary.
- Communities around the Magic Kingdom have been notified of further fireworks testing on September 23 & 25.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

- Today, for the first time, guests are able to wait in a standby queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Content from the upcoming “Muppets Haunted Mansion” special will soon be added to the pre-show of Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- The iconic giant electric guitar outside Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now covered in scrim.
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has been added to the list of attractions that will be available during early park entry at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Voyage of the Little Mermaid remains closed, and the wait time sign has now been removed from its entrance.
- Part of the queue of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is being refurbished.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

- The last of the Lightning Lane signage begins to make it final rounds at Walt Disney World as two more attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were taken by (lightning) storm.
- We noticed a section of coaster track removed from Primeval Whirl on our visit today.
- Both rides in Pandora — The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom now have Lightning Lane signs.
Disney Springs

- We learned a few days ago that the new Vault Collection of 50th anniversary merchandise would be on display in a special popup shop at Disney Springs and work on the store has now begun.
- More decorations have been added to the special 50th anniversary merchandise display in World of Disney at Disney Springs.
- The new Fabletics shop has opened near Ever After Co.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

- Construction materials at Disney’s Contemporary Resort are now blocked from view by a 50th anniversary fence cover.
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort is still undergoing a lengthy refurbishment, but the end is looking near as scrim has been recently removed from its exterior, curtains are being put away, and now artwork is being set in the main entryways.
Other Walt Disney World News

- We previously found a special 50th anniversary gift card, and now four more 50th designs are available.
- Disney has announced eight more tenants for their Flamingo Crossings shopping center.
Disneyland Resort

- Magic Key Holders at Disneyland Resort can now collect a piece of fictional history with a complimentary keepsake map of the Stark Industries Complex.
- Guests can save up to 25% on select rooms at Disneyland Resort hotels this fall with the “Stay Amid the Magic” promotion.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- The Oriental Land Company has revealed their choice to represent the Tokyo Disney Resort — Mika Ogasawara.
Disney Cruise Line
- Disney Cruise Line has updated their policies today to reflect the addition of another COVID-19 test that will be accepted for boarding.
New Merchandise

- We recently spotted a new EARidescent nuiMos Spirit Jersey, and it appears as though more new 50th anniversary nuiMOs apparel is making its way into Disney Parks and shopDisney soon.
- Now, in honor of the 50th Anniversary, guests can pick up a special Spirit Jersey themed to the occasion just for their furry friends at Walt Disney World.
- Lots of 50th anniversary merchandise has been popping up all over Walt Disney World including gold-plated coin and sets, and an E-ticket that have made their way into The Art of Disney in Disney Springs.
- Something wicked this way comes, and a new mystery pin collection just arrived in at Disneyland.
- Star Wars fans, rejoice! Two new limited edition pins have arrived at Disneyland.
- Two new pins have debuted at Disneyland Resort: a new Limited Edition “Artfully Evil” pin featuring King John, and a Limited Release Ludwig von Drake pin.
- Two new 50th anniversary items have arrived at Walt Disney World; the first is a button-up shirt matching the Castle Collection, while the second is a pin and patch set.
Entertainment and Media
Disney+

- Disney+ has released the official trailer for “Muppets Haunted Mansion”, which will premiere on the streaming service on October 8.
The Walt Disney Company

- D23, the official Disney Fan Club, is hosting a virtual event in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
