Welcome, foolish mortals! Jamie Lee Curtis (“Freaky Friday”, “Halloween”) has reportedly been cast as the iconic Madame Leota in Disney’s upcoming film “The Haunted Mansion”.
Within the past few days, Curtis has made multiple posts on her Instagram that seem to confirm the role.
She included co-starJared Leto in one post, who is set to play the role of the Hatbox Ghost.
The film is based on the classic attraction and will not be a remake of the 2003 Eddie Murphy movie of the same name.
Live-action “Aladdin” producers Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich are producing “Haunted Mansion,” and Nick Reynolds is executive producing. The script is by Katie Dippold, and Justin Simien will be directing.
“Haunted Mansion” is set to hit theaters on March 10, 2023.
