New TRON Lightcycle Run Wait Time Signage Uncovered at Magic Kingdom

As cast members and guests count down to previews, new signage can be seen as part of TRON Lightcycle / Run, sparking more excitement for the roller coaster’s April 2023 opening in Magic Kingdom.

On a ride aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad today, a new sign could be seen coming around the bend. The silver and blueish-purple sign has a circular top that appears to show digital wait times for the new attraction at Magic Kingdom. Seemingly due to the electronic components of the new signage, the sign has been installed for some time, but remained covered in a black tarp.

Just below the tech-inspired wait times, the attractions “TRON Lightcycle / Run” branding can be seen above an Enterprise sponsor logo. The sign describes Tron Lightcycle / Run as a ” high-speed roller coaster-type thrill ride on motorcycle-style vehicles inside a dark, computerized world with dark turns, sudden drops, and stops.”

Standard warnings are listed just below, indicating that guests should be in good health, children should be supervised, and riders must meet minimum height requirements, and secure all loose articles in nearby lockers. The last warning indicates that the attraction’s seating and restraints may “prohibit guests of certain body shapes or sizes from riding.” Guests using ECVs will need to transfer to readily available wheelchairs.

As we watch with anticipation for the April 4 opening date of TRON, this sign is the latest discovery outside of the Magic Kingdom’s next roller coaster. Crews were busy cleaning the attraction last week and more signage was installed earlier this month indicating height requirements and restroom availability. Just this week, a backdrop for the test seats of TRON Lightcycle / Run has also been installed near the new coaster’s entrance at Magic Kingdom.
