If You Had Wings was named after the original 1972 Tomorrowland attraction which took guests on a journey to destinations around the world featuring a catchy theme song by Buddy Baker and X Atencio, sponsored by Eastern Airlines. In 1989, the attraction was overhauled and reworked into Delta Dreamflight, which took guests through the history of aviation. That eventually closed to make way for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in 1997.

Now available on The Lunching Pad menu are several different hot dogs. In addition to a regular all-beef dog, guests can get a banh mi hot dog, Cuban hot dot, and queso fundido hot dog. At least the Cuban hot dog and a version of the queso fundido hot dog have previously been monthly options at Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A.

If You Had Wings is the first 50th Anniversary item we’ve noticed disappear from a menu as The World’s Most Magical Celebration winds down. 50th Anniversary decorations began to be removed a few days ago.

Walt Disney World turned 50 on October 1, 2021, kicking off 18 months of The World’s Most Magical Celebration. The celebration will officially come to an end on March 31, 2023.
