Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park Temporarily Closing December 11 Due to Low Temperatures

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closed tomorrow, December 11, 2023, due to the cold weather. The low temperatures have resulted in water park closures both at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort.

The water park will be closed on Monday, December 11, 2023, due to low temperatures.

On Monday, December 6, Orlando is forecasted to have a high of 64 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 49 degrees Fahrenheit with partly cloudy skies, according to weather.com.

The park is currently scheduled to be open during its normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each other day this week. This can change depending on the weather, which is currently projected to reach a high of 72 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 60 degrees Fahrenheit on Tuesday.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park reopened for the season on November 6, after closing in March of this year for its annual refurbishment. You can look through our tour on opening day here.

So far this season, the park has experienced numerous closures due to low temperatures. It closed early on November 16, was closed entirely on Thanksgiving Day, and the following day, November 24. More low temperatures caused the water park to be closed on Tuesday, November 28, and Wednesday, November 29. The park closed last week on December 6 and December 7, also due to low temperatures.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is one of two water parks on Walt Disney World property. The other, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, runs on an alternating schedule with Blizzard Beach. It closed for the season on November 6, the day Blizzard Beach reopened.
