Disney Springs

• Disney Springs has announced an official opening date for eet by Maneet Chauhan, a new “modern, fun, Indian-inspired” restaurant that was first announced in July of 2023. 
• Disney guests have made the nice list again this year, and Gideon’s Bakehouse has brought back the festive holiday menu: the Kris Kringle and Krampus cookies have returned.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• At Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, these hot cocoa Mickey beignets are the perfect treat to celebrate the cooler temperatures…or a terrible holiday disaster, depending on how you choose to eat them

New Merchandise

• You don’t have to wait for the ball to drop to celebrate the new year, as several pieces of 2024 merchandise celebrating Disney characters both classic and new recently debuted at Walt Disney World Resort. 

Other Walt Disney World News

• This week, the Governor Ron DeSantis-appointed Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) launched its new website. The website launches as DeSantis and The Walt Disney Company remain embroiled in a legal dispute. 

Disneyland Resort

• Following a suicide at a Disneyland Resort parking structure last month, security Cast Members have been stationed on the top floor of each garage and additional security Cast Members are patrolling the rest of the structures.
• The Candlelight Processional at Disneyland Park is narrated each year by a surprise special guest. This year’s event will have Brie Larson as narrator.

Tokyo Disney Resort

• Tokyo DisneySea is launching a new collection of Hotel Hightower merchandise this winter. Hotel Hightower is the setting of Tokyo Disney Resort’s Tower of Terror, which is similar to other versions of the ride but has an original story. 

Shanghai Disneyland

• As photos and videos of the new City of Zootopia land at Shanghai Disneyland begin to surface online, fans were quick to notice something that might raise some hackles: one of the photos used in a prop appears to be stolen furry fan art.
• The new Zootopia land opening at Shanghai Disneyland on December 20, 2023, is now visible on the virtual map of the park in the Shanghai Disney Resort app.

Entertainment and Media

• Purported leaks and rampant fan speculation have encircled the heavily-anticipated “Grand Theft Auto VI” video game for years before its existence and upcoming release were ultimately confirmed by Rockstar Games on November 8, 2023. Additional rumors have surfaced in the days leading up to the game’s December 5 trailer launch, with the latest suggesting that “Grand Theft Auto VI” will feature an in-game Disney Parks parody known as “Fairyland.”
