The Resistance is getting desperate and sending children to take down Stormtroopers on Batuu. TikTok user Lexy Dray shared a video from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios of an unattended child attempting to steal the blaster from a trooper’s leg before shoving the character.
Child Attacks Stormtrooper in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Lexy’s text on the video reads “POV: average loose child at Disney World” and the caption is “friendly reminder to teach your children to be respectful towards cast members”.
In the video, two Stormtroopers are roaming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge near the Milk Stand. The child approaches the closest trooper from behind and tries to pull the fake blaster from the trooper’s leg, as one of the troopers is saying, “The Resistance scum don’t know when to give up.” The attendant to the troopers, dressed in regular Batuu garb, can be heard saying, “Careful, buddy.”
The trooper feels the attack and turns around. As the child reaches out to push the trooper, the attendant tries to stop him, reaching out and saying, “Hi, buddy.” The child then shoves the trooper with both hands and the attendant gently grabs him.
The troopers both gesture at the child as they finish their discussion about the Resistance, one of them saying, “We’ll have to show them.” The attendant turns around with the child and asks the crowd, “Is this [child] anybody’s?” As nobody answers, the trooper who wasn’t pushed shakes their head.
An unattended child pushing Stormtroopers isn’t the worst guest behavior we’ve seen recently. Last month, one guest at Disneyland yelled at another for speaking Spanish. Disneyland security reportedly dismissed the victim’s concerns. Back in Walt Disney World, a man and his friends were removed from the Soarin’ queue at EPCOT after cutting the line and then yelling racial slurs at other guests. Last May, an angry guest at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure slapped a tablet out of a Cast Member’s hands, causing the tablet to hit her rib cage and sending her to the hospital.
