Universal Orlando Resort continues to tease their 2024 summer offerings, including the new DreamWorks Land, a parade, and the Tribute Store. Their latest teaser parodies “Shark Tank,” with a Team Member pitching ideas to the “Jaws” shark in the San Francisco area of Universal Studios Florida.
Summer 2024 at Universal Orlando Resort
The video’s caption includes the date April 29, 2024, indicating we’ll get official announcements on that day.
In the video, the Team Member approaches the shark and says, “I’m seeking a summer filled with awesome nostalgia, new experiences, shows, a parade, and a new land.”
Thankfully, Bruce the shark approves.
The nostalgic summer teases began with video store props in the Mardi Gras Tribute Store. Universal later shared a picture of VHS tapes, a video of a retro TV, and a cardboard box full of hints.
Rumors indicate the summer Tribute Store will feature “Ghostbusters” for the film’s 40th anniversary, as well as other classic movies. More classics, like “Jaws,” will appear in a parade — “Universal Mega Movie Parade” according to a trademark. Other movies hinted at include “Back to the Future” and “E.T.”
Universal also trademarked “Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular” for their new nighttime spectacular on the Universal Studios Florida lagoon. Construction is ongoing around the lagoon. New projectors and fountains were installed and have been tested.
We already know DreamWorks Land will open this summer but an exact date hasn’t been announced. Read more DreamWorks Land details.
“Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” may also return this summer.
Nostalgic theming continues with Universal Orlando Resort’s Passholder Bonus Benefits. Passholder buttons are returning with the first celebrating the 1999 opening of Universal Islands of Adventure.
