A plethora of news was released for Walt Disney Studios Park, including a new name, and two stores are coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom — all this and more in today’s daily recap for Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Walt Disney World

Magic Kingdom

• Disney has shared the names and new images of two retail locations coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom.
• The sign for the former Country Bear Jamboree has been covered in preparation for the newest iteration of the attraction.

EPCOT

• A new screen displaying “Hours of Operation” is visible inside CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT, which is set to open on June 10, 2024.
• The Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT continues to be plagued by construction, with walls blocking much of the front courtyard.
• On Wednesday night, we caught dancing lights testing on CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• Work continues on The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers and Blue Ribbon Corn Dog at Disney’s BoardWalk.
• The new DVC Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are beginning to be added as the resort undergoes refurbishment.
• After reviewing the 1900 Park Fare breakfast buffet, we returned for the dinner buffet at the newly reopened restaurant.

New Merchandise

• Fans of the Canada Pavilion have a new selection of items to choose from at EPCOT, including a new Lug bag featuring Chip.
• There’s a new trio of Haunted Mansion Hallmark ornaments coming soon for the 2024 holiday season.
• Have a groovy day with this new Disney’s Pop Century Resort apparel and water bottle, available in Everything Pop Shopping & Dining.
• A member of the Walt Disney World Ambassadors team has given a first-look at a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ear headband.
• A new Tomorrowland Loungefly mini backpack is now available at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

• Disney has shared a first look at the merchandise that will be available for the runDisney 2024 Walt Disney World Springtime Surprise Weekend.
• The operating hours for Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom have been extended for late April and early May at Walt Disney World.
