EPCOT
- A new playground is being constructed just around the corner from the Imagination pavilion at EPCOT.
- Crew members remain ever-present as construction continues on the latest iteration of Test Track at EPCOT.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- After his turns as a Jungle Cruise Skipper and a Disneyland Railroad conductor, Josh Gad took over Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
- Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit for demolition and construction at the Tree of Life Theater as part of preparation for a new “Zootopia” show.
Disney Springs
- A new customizable plush headband character featuring Orange Bird is now available at Disney Ever After in Disney Springs.
- New merchandise featuring Captain America has arrived at Walt Disney World ahead of the upcoming film “Captain America: Brave New World.”
- Walt Disney World has a new and confusing boxed treat called a “Mickey Mouse Waffle Peanut Butter Flavored Confection,” and we ate it.

- Celebrate the 85th anniversary of Walt Disney’s animated classic “Pinocchio” with two new Dooney & Bourke items, available exclusively at the Disney Store online.
- The newest Star Wars: The Black Series replica by Hasbro is the Moff Gideon Helmet, available at EPCOT and online.
Disneyland Resort
- According to the official Disneyland Resort website, the Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will stop offering reservations and begin only accepting walk-ups.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- The Tokyo Disney Resort will temporarily close three attractions in August, including Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, according to the online refurbishment calendar.
Hong Kong Disneyland
- Hong Kong Disneyland will be celebrating its 20th anniversary starting in summer 2025 and has announced a new daytime parade, castle stage show, and other festivities as part of “The Most Magical Party of All”.
Entertainment and Media
- Gina Carano, formerly a part of the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” provided an update on her lawsuit against Disney on her Instagram Account.
- Harrison Ford says “s— happens” regarding the disappointing box office results of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”
- Disney+ released their Super Bowl ad narrated by Josh Gad, which asks “What If” some of the platform’s classic moments had never happened?

- Disney streaming services saw a successful Q1 in 2025, officially completing a third consecutive profitable quarter, but the core Disney+ model saw a drop in subscribers after recent price increases.
The Walt Disney Company
- The Walt Disney Company has released its earnings report for the first quarter of 2025, with a total revenue of $24.69 billion across all segments.
- The Disney Experiences division, including Parks and Consumer Products, saw an overall growth of 3% for the first quarter of 2025, even though operating income at the domestic US parks saw a 5% dip.
- In Disney’s Q1 FY25 Earnings Call, CFO Hugh Johnston said the newly implemented Lightning Lane Premier Pass is “a product that we are learning how to use.”
- The Walt Disney Company said the Disney Treasure had a “spectacular start” and they expect the ship to be profitable in its first quarter in the water.

- Universal Orlando added three new permanent dishes and two limited-time seasonal offerings to the Confisco Grille menu at Universal Islands of Adventure.
- The “Jurassic Park” franchise is going back to Isla Sorna in the first trailer for Universal Pictures’ “Jurassic World Rebirth.”
- As the Fan Fest Nights events at Universal Studios Hollywood draw closer, the theme park has now sent out pre-arrival expectation surveys to guests.
