The sculpture, honoring the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort, will be in the center of the esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. In our last update, many colorful panels had been added to the facade. Before that, crews had built construction walls and supports for the sculpture.

Crews have now installed the largest of the roof spires. The roof is made of a royal blue color and is outlined in gold. The color scheme of the entire castle replica is reminiscent of the other 70th anniversary decorations planned for Disneyland Resort.

From the front, several golden stars and lighter blue diamond shapes are featured on the roofing. A colorful window has also been added to the facade of the castle. The middle panes are blue while the outer window panes are dark pink.

According to concept art, additional spires, flags, glass panels, and golden charms representing the five original lands of Disneyland Park still need to be added to the esplanade’s centerpiece.

The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration begins on May 16 and runs through the summer of 2026. Special entertainment includes the new “World of Color Happiness!” with a Muppets pre-show at Disney California Adventure, a cavalcade featuring Duffy at Disneyland Park, the return of Paint the Night, and the return of “Wondrous Journeys.” Other offerings include MagicBand+ interactivity, a guided tour, the new Key to Disneyland experience, and “it’s a small world” updates.
