Disney has shared a first look at the signage for The Beak and Barrel, the new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern at Magic Kingdom.
First Look at The Beak and Barrel Sign
The first images were shared via a post by Disney Eats on Instagram. The main signage outside the tavern features a large treasure map, with the logo for The Beak and Barrel in black and art of Rummy, the parrot inspired by the original Barker Bird. Based on the image, it appears to be in the approximate location of the previous signage for The Pirates League, which The Beak and Barrel now occupies.
The other sign hangs just above the entry doors to the bar, and is stylized like a classic wooden sign covered in barnacles. This also replaces a former sign for The Pirates League, which permanently closed in 2020.
A permit was filed earlier this year to “refurbish” the signage for The Pirates League, presumably to install the new signs shown above.
The Beak and Barrel launched reservations yesterday, August 20, after experiencing technical difficulties on its original drop date, August 14. A virtual queue had to be put in place for reservations due to demand, and Disney removed the ability to make dining reservations in the My Disney Experience app; instead, the app redirects users to a web browser to make reservations. Once launched, two months of reservations were almost entirely booked within one hour.
The Beak and Barrel will open at Magic Kingdom on August 29, 2025. The venue will also be open during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The bar will have a 45-minute time limit for guests dining inside, similarly to Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Check out the full menu for the bar (with prices), as well as a first look at merchandise for the new venue.
