Disneyland Resort has informed WDWNT they plan to reopen the now-closed Downtown Disney District entrance.

As we reported on Monday, the security plaza on the west side of Downtown Disney District, closest to Disneyland Hotel, is now closed. The exit next to the security plaza is still open. Guests entering Downtown Disney are being redirected to the new security plaza to the south.

Disneyland Resort reached out to WDWNT to let us know the closure is temporary and the security plaza will reopen. We spotted an excavator at the site so it seems the entrance is closed for an extensive refurbishment. Disneyland did not share further details.
